Remote Consultation

Our services are one-to-one tailored to individuals, families, schools and organisations. We understand how vast South Africa and Lesotho are and that communication may need to take place remotely before any face-to-face consultations.

We regularly take on cases on a pro-bono basis. Please email us and state your case, and we will get in touch.

We use Microsoft TEAMS and Microsoft Business Services to support this.

All services start the same way: a single no-fee online video consultation if you are outside of our face-to-face catchment. We are the only service like this in South Africa and Lesotho at present.

Policy and Law

We believe that clear policies are important and set the precedent for what your school, organisation or business will deliver to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and neurodiverse individuals alike. Diana has extensive experience in compliance and equity within disability services for children and young people, and thus an understanding of best practice and how to implement this as written policy for your school or organisation.

We have a tertiary understanding of UK precedent acts and how these promote best practice in the UK and International Schools/organisations. Such as:

• Equality Act (2010)

• SEND Code of Practice: 0-25 (2014)

• Children and Families Act (2014)

• National Curriculum (2014, and amendments)

• Safeguarding Act (1989 and 2014)

We also understand that South Africa and Lesotho has its own SEND acts and amendments to promote best practice. For example:

• Disability Rights Charter (1992)

• White Paper on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (WPRPD) (2022)

• Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA, 2000)

• Skills Development Act (1998)

As does Lesotho:

• Persons with Disability Equity Act (Act 2 of 2021)

• Education Act (2010)
